How To: Add, Update and Cancel Games

Prerequisites

  1. Use a desktop/laptop computer, this is difficult on a mobile device.
  2. You must be the registered coach or manager to update the team calendar.  To register as a coach, use the Register Online link on the left menu or click here.
  3. Verify that you’re the coach by navigating the team page.  Your name should be on the right under contacts.

Gotchas:  The registration will only let you register as a coach for one team.  If you need to be a coach on more than one team email the board.

Steps to Add Games

  1. Navigate to your team page (btw - you’re encouraged to use this post content etc.)
  2. On the left-hand navigation click the schedule link.  The team schedule with all other games will be displayed.
  3. On the right side of the team menu bar (after the team name) click Options and select Add Event.
  4. Fill out the information for Date, Time, Location.  The category should be league game for games in your division. Playoff game for playoffs and game for any other type of game.
  5. The first team is the home team.  Then select the Opponent for all CVYL teams.  Do not use Outside opponent unless you’re playing outside CVYL.
  6. Select the appropriate notification that will go out automatically once submit is pressed.
  7. Click Submit

Steps to Update Games

  1. Navigate to your team page.
  2. On the left-hand navigation click the schedule link.  The team schedule with all other games will be displayed.
  3. Select the edit Event button on the event that needs to change.  Note: Clicking delete on an event doesn’t cancel a game.
  4. Make the needed changes and click submit.

Steps to Cancel a Game

  1. On the left-hand navigation click the schedule link.  The team schedule with all other games will be displayed.
  2. Select the edit Event button on the event that needs to change.  
  3. Update the status to Cancelled
  4. Select the appropriate notifications.
  5. Click Submit
